COLOR TEMPERATURE (ºKELVIN)

Color temperature is a description of the warmth or coolness of the color of the light source.  Lower Kelvin temperatures, 2700º-3500º, create a warm white color and higher Kelvin temperatures, 5000º-6500º, create a cool white color.

When choosing color temperature for your application consider the atmosphere you’re trying to create.  Warm colors work very well in homes, restaurants and environments where a warm atmosphere is desired.  Cool colors work very well for outdoor and commercial applications.

An accepted industry norm is to use a neutral color temperature, or 4000º Kelvin, which works well in almost all applications.
